Not sure what to say?

Greg, Kirk, David, Joe, and I shared an art class at Skyline High. Greg and I got to be good friends. We sat on the floor of his bedroom and listened to the weirdest music imaginable. We drove around Dallas laughing. We went to parties and midnight movies. We talked about girls, music, school, and everything teenagers should talk about. I lost touch with him for many years, only to reconnect recently. Greg was a good man, and we will all miss him. He taught me many things, and...

My brother, my dear friend- My life has been made so much richer for your presence in it, and I miss you something awful... Let's talk, okay?

Words fail. Time and again I have attempted to write something - to write anything - here that would begin to convey even a shadow of the deep and abiding love and respect I had and will always have for Greg. My weak and inadequate words continue to fail.

Life is a journey of becoming. It seems that Greg had a massive head start over most of us. His determined, untiring "becoming" was graceful, appearing effortless and natural. Over the many years I was privileged to know him,...

It has been such long time - I kind of forgot we went to school together - we got to be much closer friends as young adults then as students at skyline - we shared a strong passion for quality - music food wine whatever - in some ways you could say we were snobs together - but I like to think we just had a passion for quality together!

Heather my thoughts and prayers are with you and family during this difficult time.

I am so lucky to have known Greg, I will cherish the memories I have of Greg's humor, his compassion and how proud he was of your artist talents.

Dear Heather and family,

My heart goes out to you all for your loss. I only met Greg a couple of times at your moms house but could sense the presence of a kind and creative soul. May you find comfort knowing that he lives on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

I knew Greg for only 19 very short months. Much shorter than almost all the others here. I told Greg about the Dallas Blackhawks hockey stick I got at "stick night" when I was a kid. He showed up the next day with a puck he got at "puck night". He said, "Here Sam, I want you to have this." The puck is in my "Sports" room on the mantle next to the stick. I can tell you, I will miss Greg for a very long time.

I knew Greg from Skyline and we were really close for a year or two. He was Mr. Cool and a lot of fun to be with. We both had similar parents and that bonded us. We had some adventures and some misadventures, and I will always remember him fondly. His sense of humor and respect for music always fascinated me about him. He taught me a lot about rock and roll and hi-fidelity, which was a priority for Greg.

In fact, I had him star in my failed Jimi Hendrix documentary in Television...

Greg and I went to Skyline High School together. We had some great times. Luckily, we got to see each other not too long ago. You'll be missed brother. Say hello to Joe!
