Not sure what to say?

I remember Robert well from our days in AZA. He was active in San Diego and I was in Mar Vista. Robert was a leader in his AZA chapter and I was my chapter Godol as well as the Greater Los Angeles Regional Godol and the District Four Association Godol. Robert and I worked together on projects and he was always a scholar and gentlemen.

Dear Judi,

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Marc remembers great times playing basketball with Bob at the old JCC. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Joel, Andrew, and Jeffrey.

To Judi & the Gottschalk sons,
I grew up knowing Bob and experiencing life as teenagers with him and the rest of our crew of friends. Bob was always innocent, yet principled; honest and candidly direct; caring and yet realistic in how much one could give; respectful and yet humorously cynical. Bob was a great guy and an asset to the world!

Bob was the kind of human being we all aspire to be. His warmth, love of family and life coupled with his amazing heart and tenacity was a personal inspiration. For over 3 decades, I loved that guy!

Judi, you and Bob created a warm, loving and supportive family unit. It was always obvious to all who knew you. You have each other for support and it is evidence of Bob's love for all of you. His passing is also a great loss for the community. He served it with dedication and enthusiasm.
Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Even after 30 years since grad school together I still remember Bob as a friend, great guy and a mensch! May his memory be for a blessing.

Dear Judi and family--

We both remember the days at the JCC when Bob instructed exercise class. Fond memories, great guy, and we send our heartfelt condolences to you.

Iris and Jay Scher

Although Bob and I had not been in contact for years, I thought of him often. Bob was responsible for encouraging me to consider Phoenix and the JCC as a place to live and start my career. He was an advocate, leader, and friend. 30 years later I'm proud to have made Phoenix my home and to say that I knew Bob Gottschalk.
