Not sure what to say?

I am one of the many lucky girls who attended Gearhardt's church camps when Father Grafe was Dean. So many joyous, spiritual & hilarious memories in the early 60's. He was just magical. He was an important part of our family. Rebecca Dimond

I loved Father Grafe.

I really loved Father Grafe as a child. He confirmed me in the faith and baptized my children. What a lovely presence he had.

Addendum to July 14, 2012
Father Grafe was the one of the kindest persons I knew, next to my Dad. Father Grafe presided at my Dads funeral, in Montana. He also took me to my Mothers memorial service. Father Grafe always took time to have lunch and visit with my Father when Dad came to Portland. I enjoyed Helen and Bob and the church groups so much. We were so lucky to have had them.

Father Grafe was one of my patient's who I have seen for years.....
He will be missed so very much, always pleasant, patient and kind. One of my favorite people, I shall miss you. I know now you are with the Lord and are happy!

I loved Father Grafe.

The Fr. Grafe I remember from my youth, many decades ago, was kind and warm-hearted. I had the pleasure of being a friend and Sunday School classmate of Mark and enjoyed the time I spent in their home. In '93 Fr. Grafe preached at my father's memorial service, and allowed me to see my father in ways I'd never considered. He was a real presence of God's love here on earth. May he enjoy the rest of eternity in God's presence. Peace to all, especially Mark & Marjorie.

Our family was very sad to hear of Father Grafe's passing. We were very fond of both Helen and Father Grafe. Father Grafe baptised all 3 of our children and myself. He presided at my mother in law and great aunts funerals. He helped us so much. Helen and father Grafe also enjoyed my 40th birthday bash...smiles all the way around!! He was a wonderful man and role model. We will miss him very much!! Love and Peace The Sauer Family

Outside one's parents, I frequently hear people mention significant adult influences in their lives while "growing up." For me, Father Grafe was one of five I frequently think of and mention. Peace + Love.
