Not sure what to say?

Having just learned of Bob's passing, I was moved to tears. He was such a force of life. He had great wit, sense of humor and generous kindness. I had such respect and admiration for him, and he had a soft spot for me...a young hick from Texas. He was amused by my goats, cows and my simple life. I send my condolences to all that knew and loved Bob. John, Marc and Candace, I know you miss him. I haven't spoken to him in years, but I have never forgotten your dad. I will always remember him...

Dear Green Family,
We are sorry for your loss. We met Bob when we first moved to CT. He was a wonderful man and caring person. And his calm manor and smile always made us feel special in his company. It was always a pleasure to deal with Bob on a personal & professional level. He will be truly missed.
God bless you and your family.

To me, Bob Green was the face and personality of Lux Bond & Green. I remember years ago I met Bob for the first time in their Pratt Street store in downtown Hartford. His warmth and personality lit up the store. He made me feel so welcome, and I was just a kid. Bob believed that you should never judge a book by it's cover. He used to tell me wonderful stories of people who entered the store, and how they would open up to him and his employees (Bob treated them all like family.) and pour...

John & Marc--Judy & I have been in Colorado Springs and was made aware of dad's death today while in the store and Norma told me.

Your dad was the BEST and we are so sorry to hear of his passing.
May he RIP,
Judy & Richard Levy

Bob was a great member of the American
Gem Society and a wonderful individual. I've
been retired since 1987- but have pleasant memories. Al Woodill, ex dir. AGS, 1947-87. All my best to this extraordinary family.

John and Marc. Our thoughts are with you, and I hope many pleasant memories. He was always the gentleman, a great neighbour, and he left a mark in the community for others to follow. Just as he followed his Dad.
