I was saddened to hear about Bob while at the Ohio Sierra Club retreat today. I will treasure my happy memories of his enthusiasm and activism at our political discussions in the 80s. My condolences to his family and loved ones.

We were cousins and contemporaries. I had not seen Bobby since we were small children. From what I have read I would have liked him very much and admired what he did for the environment and for those who cared about him .My grandmother on my father side was Katie Greenbaum.

I met Bob in the 1980s when I was volunteering with the Ohio Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign. He came to Columbus numerous times to testify against nuclear proposals at the Statehouse, including "Below Regulatory Concern" and the Midwest Compact which would have dumped all the "low level" radioactive waste from 6 states into Ohio.
