Not sure what to say?

To Mr. Greenleaf's family, my thoughts and prayers. I had him for History at Ponaganset and graduated in 1975 he was one of the best! I've never forgotten him. He had patience with us students - especially me having test phobias.

Dear Mrs. Greenleaf,

I was one of your French 1 students at Coventry High School. I wish to extend my deepest condolences for the loss of your husband. Take care.

I was a student of Mrs. Greenleaf's at Coventry High School, and always enjoyed seeing the family's vacation photos in French class slide shows. When I saw the obituary I asked my husband, who attended Ponagansett, if he knew Mr. Greenleaf and he confirmed that he did. Condolences to your family.

Mark,
I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.

Thank you Mr. Greenleaf for your love of and commitment to teaching and your patience with us as students. I will forever remember the lessons you shared the one day a year when you spoke of your military experiences. Thank you for your service! I remember you fondly and send thoughts out to your family. You have touched many- Cana -PHS Class of '80.

Mr. Greenleaf,
I never knew you were from Maine, where I live now. A-yup, you had a knack for bringing history alive, especially the Roaring Twenties. I will never forget your dancing a little jig to "Yessir, that's my baby, no sir, I don't mean maybe.." I, too, teach at a Maine academy and carry on your own passion or exciting students to the world of Knowledge. Adieu, magister.

A man with a great sense of humor, always pleasant, and great teacher, and a fine gentleman. He served his profession with distinction. I am proud to have worked with him.

Anne, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. My heart goes out to you and yours at this time of sorry. Prayers are with you. (Gloria from tennis)

I admired you as a fine teacher whose love of history inspired my children, one of whom majored in history in college. I also shared your concern for the mentally ill. This is really what brought us together, your love for your daughter, Nancy, and my love for my son, Ben.

Nancy, I remember our rides home from church together. I know you will miss your dad a lot. My God bless and comfort you and all of the family
Sincerely,
Alberta Hopkins
