I am sorry to read of Bob's passing. I remembered being introduced at some now forgotten function -- either EMD or District 102 -- way back in the early '70s when I was a new person at EMD and Mary Parker had helped Linda get into the library at Forest Road. Bob was a solid kinda guy who always seemed to me to be a 'go to' person when I had an accounting question in need of answer or explanation. I enjoyed eating an occasional lunch with him at the salaried cafeteria.

Hi Mar, (as I remember him calling you), I am a Cost Accountant from way back, well, just 35 years. Bob took me into the plant and explained the use and scrap of Inconel on valve stems. His advise was "learn one process start to finish, and the Auditors will believe anything else you say." I have two valves in my cube, so I'll always remember Bob! Marlene, we just heard about Bob and we are very sorry for your loss. We didn't closely associate with you both, but did have some contact . The Village Club is our common denominator. Once again, please accept our sincere sympathy.
