Very sad to hear of Bob's passing but I had caught up relatively recently at the Marlborough Aero Club, so was certainly aware of his struggles. We go back to the 70s and the Safe Air days and then Air Nelson where Bob was a dedicated and effective member of the executive and operations team. Thinking of you all so very much
I first met Bob when I left college and worked at Safe Air.
My Dad (Ken) also knew Bob well through the Air New Zealand connection.
Bob was a super guy, always wearing the same cheeky smile whenever you saw him attached to a terrific sense of humour.
Always enjoyed running into him in the years that followed.
Fly high now Bob

I´m sad to hear of Bob´s passing, I worked with him briefly at Safe, always a friendly face & even 20 years later a cheery greeting & natter about shared experiences. He will be missed

Sad to hear about Bobs death. He was a great help to me at times when I ran Nelson Aviation College and I always appreciated a chat with him. He will be missed by many

Knowledge and experience were the two qualities that Bob brought to every task plus the light touch that superior aviators have. From the training classroom to line operations to the project team, Bob worked diligently to deliver the required result without fuss or drama. The aviation world will miss his efforts and we will miss his company and sense of humour.
My deepest sympathy to Joy and his family.
