Robert Ellery Gulick

Gulick, Robert E. Bancroft, Michigan Robert passed away June 12, 2013, age 82. He was born June 22, 1930 in Bancroft Michigan to the late Ellery D. and Anna (Street) Gulick. He was a 1949 graduate of Byron High School, attended CMU where he played and lettered in baseball, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Durand Eagles – Aerie #3851. He worked for 12 years with Sealtest Food, 6 years with home delivery routes and 6 years in supervision of wholesale milk. He also worked 15 years with Norgas in Durand where he was a sales representative. He enjoyed spending winters in Punta Gorda and Arcadia, Florida. On April 29, 2001, he was predeceased by his wife, the former Mary E. McCoy, whom he married April 17, 1954. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Edward) Zambraski of Princeton MA; sons, Gregory (Cheryl) Gulick of Bancroft, Garry Gulick (Linda) Gulick of Kentucky; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandsons & 3 great-granddaughters; several nieces, nephews, & cousins; and a very special friend, Jan Parke of Washougal, WA & Arcadia, FL. He was predeceased by his brothers, Louis (Marie) Gulick, Richard (Arlene) Gulick; grandson, Matthew Gulick; & cousins, Charlene Michalek, Maxine Benjamin, and Virginia Armstrong. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, June 21, 2013 at First Congregational Church of Durand, 403 N. Saginaw St., Durand, MI. Rev. James Martin will officiate. Interment is planned for Union Plains Cemetery.
