Robert L. "Bob" Gust

My apologies to Bob's family for the tardiness of this message. I lived next door to Bob for 10 years at Belmont Place. When I first moved in Bob was the first neighbor to welcome me and the only neighbor to offer me some of his produce. He became a neighbor I could rely on for advice and help in a myriad of ways, even to suggesting I take my deck apart to refinish it and to lending me a hose to wash freshly-spilled paint out of my garage as I was moving out! One of my dad's best friends. Worked together at VPD. Both entered hospice about the same time. I got to hunt with he and my dad many times growing up. Lived just down the street from my parents. A very nice man and a wonderful friend to my dad. Another good one lost to us but we are better for having known him.

Bob was my last remaining uncle. He was one of most genuine , kindest man I have ever know and will be missed by many. My condolences to his family.

I was sad to see Bob's obituary. You three did a wonderful job sharing his story with our community. I knew your parents when I work with your mother at Bank of Vancouver/Peoples Bank. Your parents were very caring people. We had some good times playing cards at their home. I am sorry for your loss. Prayers for your families as you go through the grief journey.

I send my sympathy to Lynn, Mike, Julie and the rest of the family. I have very fond memories of the experiences I had with Bob and Delores, during my high school years.
