Not sure what to say?

I did not know Robert Haas, but I knew his art. I have cherished the beautiful angel cards he created for many years. I too, (as another Writer here did) tried to find more of these cards to actually give away. I found that through the years, I was reluctant to part with the last 3 cards in my possession as it meant that I would no longer be able to look at them myself if I did so. It was only upon my search for replacements that I discovered that this beautifully gifted man had passed...

So many things have changed since you passed away, but I can still see you in my heart. You were a person I'll always remember who shared a friendship I'll always treasure. R.I.P.

I have only recently discovered Bobs passing and this memorial page. I have two, of what I think was a series of three Hallmark Cards of the Archangels: Michael, Raphael and Gabriel. I was searching for replacements, but came up empty. But I wanted to express my gratitude to Bob. I have had these cards since the 80s. His beautiful depictions touched my heart then and still do. I treasure them. RIP in the arms of the Angels

A year without Robert my favorite Bob-O -Link. I think of him when I discover a new work by Mucha and he is not there to discuss it. When I retired and moved back to Kansas City I found out he was ill and his family had taken him back east. I was unable to contact him and let him know how much his friendship meant to me. I find it meant more now with his passing than I realized at the time. I take joy in that friendship and sorrow that he can no longer come out to play.

I can't believe that it is already a year since Bob passed away. I think of him often and though I miss him; I'm comforted knowing that he is at peace. Creating beauty was what his artwork was all about and his interests in the artist, Mucha and Rose O'Neill also reflected this ideal. He also knew the beauty of his friendships and I know he cherished all of them.

My deepest Condolences to the family,my father who was his HS art teacher.Robert sent me a very moving letter about the time he spent with my father. My father had a book and a picture Robert gave him, they were both very close,Robert told me that my father saved his life.I was hoping to talk with him someday. God Bless him. Marc Matzer.
