Emma and Family

We were so sorry to hear about Pastor Hackler. He was a wonderful pastor and a genuine Christian. He baptized our Daughter, Hilary, confirmed our son, Colby, and brought us all closer to Christ. He will be missed.

Dearest Emma,
What a wonderful man was Bob. Both of you were so fortunate to have had each other. Our sincere sympathy to you and your family. Miss you.

To the Hackler family,
I have been remembering many happy times spent with Pastor over the years. One particular story comes to mind...I was in Jr. High school and the youth group was working at church one Saturday afternoon to prepare for a special event on Sunday. (I can't remember specifically what it was.) It was a warm day, and Pastor's office was the only area that was air conditioned at the time. One by one, we all ended up in Pastor's office soaking up the cool air. I'm sure...

Dear Emma and family,
We are here in Florida, but our hearts are near to you. We will always remember Pastor Hackler. Pastor touched so many lives and gave his love unsparingly. His sermons were delivered with love and humor, and even after he retired, his sermons became better and better. Thank you for always coming to Thrivent events, for sharing your garden produce, and thank you most of all for sharing Pastor with all of us. He will be missed.

Emma and family,
I want to express my condolences for Rev. Hackler. You were great with sharing your vegetables and your time. You are in my prayers and someday we will all be together with Jesus and there will be no more tears, pain and suffering. God's best to you. He will be remembered from St>Johns Lutheran church in Mattoon

Emma and family,I am saddened by your loss. I didn't know your husband that well except thru you and by that I knew he was a kind, loving, and giving person. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. Emma, I remember your loving and caring arms around me during my time off loss and now I'm extending my arms around you and your family. Bless you all. Sandy

Emma,

Although Chuck and I moved away from Charleston almost 8 years ago, we still remember you and Pastor Hackler fondly. I especially remember the seniors' trip to Concordia Seminary and Grants Farm in St. Louis that I "crashed" some 10-12 years ago. I wasn't old enough to be on the trip (still aren't), but you and Pastor graciously invited me to join your group for the day. I had a wonderful time and got to see a side of Concordia that I might not have gotten to see if not for...

Dear Emma and all your family, I can never begin to tell you how much you and Pastor Hackler have meant to both my mother and us over the years. I remember so well the middle of the night when Pastor came to our house, when mother called and told him my brother Chuck was shot in Milwaukee. (1979) His constant care and concern helped us through a very difficult time. I can't begin to count the many blessings he has bestowed upon our family, There is not another man in this world like him,...
