Not sure what to say?

Bob (along with Yusuf Ibish and Dick Debs) was a dear friend during my graduate school years at Harvard. I lived with Joan Schenck (who later married Yusuf) and Barbara Knowles (who later married Dick), and we enjoyed wonderful meals, parties, and conversations. My husband and I visited Bob and Helen once many years ago, but we subsequently fell out of touch. I especially treasure the memory of Bob standing in the road, shaking his head in amused wonder at the sight of me driving my huge,...

Of all my colleagues on the Faculty at Smith College during my close to 40 years there, Bob stood out as one of the warmest, most genuine, engaging human beings I knew. This distinction was regardless of rank or department affiliation. I wasn't even aware of what he taught until well into our friendship.

Although I went to Smith College, I was not lucky enough to take a class with Professor Haddad. Instead, I met him when my parents moved to Dirigo Pines. When my dad died in 2021, Professor Haddad became my surrogate father. I saw him every time I visited my mom. His love and compassion and wisdom helped me through some difficult moments. I will miss him dearly.

Mt deepest condolences. I met Dr Haddad in 1991 during my year at Amherst College. He welcomed me and made me feel at home in the Valley. We crossed path a bit later when he became President of AUB as I had moved there. Once again felt his support and kindness. My he rest in Peace

So so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr Haddad I knew him from working at Smith College he always came in to the Cafe at Smith and was always a joy to talk to always made me laugh I always told him he reminded me of the actor Anthony Quinn she would laugh and say thank for the honor my condolences to his family my prays for all of you say a wonderful person

I met Bob at smith college at the cafe, we would chat about his grandkids, his wife and my grandkids. We chatted about his love of the Yankees and my love of the red sox. When he moved to maine we emailed a few times but lost touch with miss my friend.
