Vacation in Bermuda

Dear Ginnie, Lisa, Linda & Lois,

I guess we find out about big changes in our lives at the big holidays when we remember the dear people we are fond of. Mary and I gasped when we saw that your Christmas card had only your name in the return address and was only signed by you. We knew at once that Bob was gone and we were crushed. We are so, so sad for your and the girls' loss. Most of all, we are sorry that we didn't know so we could be there for you, but this is what happens when good...

Hi Dad,
I did not send you a note yesterday because I thought people might think I am crazy for the previous ones I have sent. Well, I have been in bed since the end of Larry King, about an hour and a half and had to come down here to write.
So, Yesterday I was in a fog still, today it is starting to lift. I read what Linda wrote, we did hate to see you in the pain that you were in. You were very brave and we tried our hardest to give you comfort. "They" say that you are in a better...

Dear Daddy,

I miss you so much. I'm sorry for the pain that you had while you were in the hospital. It wasn't time for you to go. We didn't want you to go. We will see you again some day. Until then we will talk to you everyday. Please talk to us too. I can feel you with me.

I love you,
Linda

Dear Dad,
I have talked to Mom, Lisa ,and Linda today. We are going to figure out what type of bush or small tree to put at your grave site. We are going to figure out what type of headstone you may like. I have something in mind and will talk to command central about it. I love You, Lo
PS - command central was a place we gathered in Lisa's kitchen.

Dear Dad,
Sam went shopping today with her friend Nick. They picked out a nice tux and shirt for prom on May 17th. She went to prom last year with him, you may remember his name. He and Sam have been friends since Kindergarten. Nick is going to Vilinova(spelling), he is on the wait list to Boston College. He is a wonderful boy and huge Red Sox fan. Keep your fingers crossed that he gets into BC. Libby had a good bday. She has a new cell phone from Lisa and Mike. I dropped her off at a play...

Dear Virginia,Girls,
Art and I are sorry to hear about Bob dying. We will never forget his kindness and compassion to uncle Mattie in his time of need. Our thoughts and prayers to you all.Love, Marilyn & Art

Dear Dad,
Today was Libby's 9th birthday. She missed you calling her and singing " Happy Birthday", something you have always done. We will sing to you on June 29th- your 77th bday., and we will wish you a happy 50th on June seventh. My hearth aches Dad. I will keep you posted. Love, Lo

Mrs. Hall, Lisa, Linda, Lois and all your wonderful family:

Mr. Hall was a great neighborhood "dad" growing up on Maple Road in Chelmsford. I remember his quick wit and his willingness to include a couple of scrappy kids from next door into your home and lives. That he stayed so big a part of the local community is part of his legacy that you can be proud of. I hope that you'll be able to focus on the wonderful memories of him and the family to get you through your grief. All my best.

Mr. Hall,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
