New London - Robert "Bobby" Edward Hancock, 77, of 202 Colman St., New London, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Groton Regency.
He was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Waterford, the son of Irene (St. Germaine) Hancock and John F. Hancock Sr.
Robert was proceeded by his wife, Anna Hancock.
He leaves behind two daughters and their families, Robin and Jim Johnson and Camie and Rick Graley; and five grandchildren, Tyler and Emma Graley and Jacqueline, Samantha, and Jana Johnson. He also leaves a brother, John Hancock Jr.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Jordan Cemetery, Waterford. There are no calling hours.
Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London, is assisting with the arrangements.

Bobby was one of the first men I met when I moved into 202 Colman five years ago. I'll miss him and wish I'd visited him at Regency. Tough cuss who wore his own skin well, that Yankee Bobby.
