Not sure what to say?

My dad financially supported Bob Harrington in the late 1960s or early 1970s, and really appreciated his ministry after marching with the ROTC in Mardi Gras in the latter 1960s. Pastor Harrington was born 20 years before my dad was born and died 23 years after my dad died. I know he would have wanted thi express condolences to the family. I read one of his books and am currently listening to one of his sermons on LP. I too appreciated his life and ministry.

I was 17 when I further heard him preach that night, Dec 31, 1968 I received Jesus into my heart. That was 52 years ago. I just learned that he had passed away. I’m sorry for your loss. He will always be in my heart and thoughts

My heart is broke ! I have just read about Bobs passing (12-18-20) on the internet . My mother bought his record ' My Life Story" in about 1970 when I was in Vietnam . She went to the Cathedral of Tomorrow about that time when I was gone . Her best friend had a daughter named Sue who married a guy named Mack Evans , I believe who they both sang in the quartet that Bob refers to in his album . My mother was a devoted Christian all her life and when I made it back from Vietnam the first thing...

Sorry For Your Loss!

HE Will Raise Him Up On Eagle's Wings,

Bear Him On The Breath Of Dawn,

Make Him To Shine Like The Sun,

And Hold Him In The Palm Of HIS Hand.

From Psalm 91

To the family of Bob Harrington,

Over 50 years ago I worked part time in high school at a downtown service station and Bob Harrington was a regular customer. I will always remember how kind and cheerful he was to the "workers". As a young man I learned that not all customers were always so nice to the people who back then pumped the gas and checked the oil.
If I remember correctly he had a CHecker automobile and a sign on its sign announcing the Chaplain of Bourbon St. What a nice...

Mitizi, I'm so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed hearing your Dad's messages. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Rhonda & Mitzi, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Bro. Bob was a one of a kind larger than life man of God. I have thought and spoken of him often, because he was just unforgettable. I sang in his ministry when I was in high school and a few revivals afterwards, when he preached on the Prichard radio station in the afternoons and on Sunday mornings at the drive in theatre in Chickasaw. Those were exciting times when he was first beginning his ministry. I have seen him several...

I remember first seeing him on the Donahue Show with Madalyn Murray O'Hair. He was even portrayed in the movie about her with Peter Fonda playing him. May he rest in peace.
