Robert Harrop, Flowerdale
Robert Harrop made the ultimate sacrifice for his beloved wife Elizabeth.
With Mrs Harrop in hospital recovering from an aneurism, Mr Harrop gave his life battling a fierce bushfire to save their Flowerdale home so she would have memories to come home to.
His courage was not in vain.
Mr Harrop was a man who I found majestic. He was someone I met and would love to have been my father. Mr Harrop was so much like my father, hard working, successful, honest and good to his wife. I still look at your picture its right next to our bed and I still cry because its so unfair
