I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. My mom, Bernice Sherman, was also at Hyland Park and I would see your dad almost on a daily basis as I visited mom.They were back to back at their dinner tables..haha. I enjoyed talking with your dad, but did not realize until reading the obituary, who his family was. Our son, Nick Weisensel, graduated with Tessa and were great friends. I worked with your mom as a Public Health nurse and really loved her. Got to know your dad and loved him too.
True story about your dad: Vivian said he decided to do some of the car maintence himself instead of paying for it so he changed the oil. Viv got a frantic call at work from your dad to not drive the car. In telling his fellow cops about the great way he changed the oil he was told he put the oil in the area where the brake fluid went.
