Not sure what to say?

Finally finding Bob's obituary. Great guy, great sailor, great husband. A shining light of the Muskegon community. I'm very grateful for the time spent with Bob, racing sailboats.

Anita, I was stunned and hurt when this morning I heard of Bob's passing. The short times together for our class reunion committee gave me an appreciation for Bob. I'm sorry for your loss.

I just heard of Bob's passing yesterday. He was a classmate of mine at Grandville High School. Bob was a very kind man who was a lot of fun to be around. He will be greatly missed by classmates and many others. God Bless Bob and may he "Rest in Peace". Our deepest sympathy to his wife, Anita, and their families.

Anita,
I just heard of Harv's passing this morning. I found myself at a loss for words to express my thoughts and feelings, tho' will share some memories of Bob. It seems I first met Bob at your wedding, sharing stories of your vacation on the isle of Malta and sailing the Mediterranean sea. It seemed you and Bob always stopped by to see my mom and dad and play with Baron, the German Shepherd, whenever you were over visiting your family. Do you remember stopping by to visit Lorelei...

It's always so hard to say goodbye to a friend like Bob. We met in High School and played football together. Later it was on to College at Michigan Tech where we had our one and only experience rock climbing and decided , when we realized we had to also climb back down if we wanted to get to the car before dark, that this was not for us. Skiing seemed to be more our sport with a lot of teasing especially going up the T Bar lift with Bob behind us and my partner fell while shoving the bar...

Dear Anita,

I loved working with you and Bob on the Harbor Hospice Regatta. A man of few words, Bob always advanced the discussion in the right direction. I hope you are comforted in knowing that he was respected and cherished for his generous spirit and he will not be forgotten.

Hugs,
Mary Anne

On behalf of the many volunteers of the Muskegon Heritage Museum, we send Anita and Bob's family & friends sincere condolences. Bob will be missed at the museum, where he was awarded for his outstanding service. His volunteer hours were generous, and he was respected by all of us who had the pleasure of getting to work with him. In Peace, Chris, MHM Volunteer Coordinator, and all of us who worked downtown with Bob to promote knowledge and enjoyment.

Bob and I have shared over thirty years of our lives....softball, golf, pool, kayaking, camping, motorcycling, and just discussing life over a beer. Not once did I hear a negative word from him. Bob was the most genuine person I've known and best friend one could have. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Dear Family and Friends,
I have only known Bob from volunteering at the Muskegon Heritage Museum for the past 9 years. Bob was such a kind, humble, smart, dedicated man! He worked as a part of a dedicated team to make the museum what it is today. He was a good guy, and will be missed very much for his dedication and kind, humble manner.
