Nearly 30 years later, Mr. Havens is the most memorable teacher to me from Lakewood High School. My sincerest condolences to his family. I'm grateful to have learned from him.

Sorry for your loss. I had Mr. Havens for two years of accounting in 85-87. He was a good guy. I remember a weird saying he would use sometimes "you're a poet, even if you don't know it, but your toes show it". And oddly, as a teacher myself now, I used that phrase recently! Thirty years later, it still puts a smile on my face. Condolences to the whole family.

Betsy and family, I had the opportunity to work with Bob in the business department at LHS. I can remember Bob, Orie Yoder and Darryl Knepper sitting around the office solving the problems of the world. Betsy, I also remember that for, I think, your 25th wedding anniversary Bob was so excited because he had gotten you some stock certificates as a special gift for the occasion.
