Robert Allen Hawkins

Dear Mickey and you four Hawkins kids. Our families go back so very many years.( Bob's father delivered me back in 1935 at St. Pete's in Helena.) Many memories of all our kids at Lewis and Clark and then on to Sentinel. We all shared many fun times together as families and then as couples. Bob will be missed by so many. My family and I were sorry to hear of the death of Dr. Hawkins. We recently had a small reunion at our family home, and we all fondly remembered Dr. Hawkins and whole Hawkins family. The old neighborhood has changed in so many ways, but if you look and listen carefully, even still, you can see and hear the sights and echoes of that wonderful place we were so lucky to have called home. Dr Hawkins and family were so kind to me as a kid, I would not be able to forget.

I didn't know Bob well but I knew him well enough to know he was a dear, kind man with a big heart for his community. I always enjoyed our conversations and perspective. Deep sympathy to his family.

Remembering Dr. Hawkins as a kind and good man--and his remarkable legacy of dedicated service remains to honor a life fully and well lived.

Bob Hawkins was a great mentor to me as a young dentist when I first moved to Missoula in 1973. He was a great example of professionalism and ethics. He always had a friendly smile whenever I ran into him, usually skiing with Mickey, or whatever. RIP Bob. You will be missed.

I worked for Dr. Hawkins many years ago and he was a very kind man. I have fond memories. May he rest in peace.
