You are the grandfather I always wanted and I the daughter you never had. I will miss your sense of humor the most. The way you would say something funny with such a straight face. Only the twinkle in your clear blue eyes would give you away. That humor showed through up until the day you died. I will always remeamber the day before, when you had your hair cut the woman asked you how you wanted it cut and you told her you would like it braided. After she was done you were handed...

I remember Robert from my days living in Cos Cob when I was in Greenwich High School from 1979 to 1981. Robert loved his garden and I worked for him landscaping his beautiful property on Cat Rock Road, working on weekends. He was always kind and generous and I learned a lot about gardening from him. While our lives intersected just a few years, I always remember him fondly. Strangely, I just happened to 'Google' him on Oct 20th, which is how I found out he had passed away...

Robert will be missed by many. My sincerest deepest condolences go out to his sister Helen, his family, and Diane. Robert always managed to put a smile on my face and I am blessed to have had known him, and will miss him very much.
