Robert A. "Bob" Heard

Bob was one of the sharpest trial lawyers I knew. He was a great mentor to young attorneys and taught me a lot.

My cousin Bob had a fantastic sense of humor, understated and quirky. I remember him as the teenager who introduced me to Mad Magazine in the early 1960s. Much later, at his nephew Jeff's wedding in 2001, he kept us all entertained with colorful stories of San Francisco's District Attorney Office, reeling out anecdotes which he had mentally cataloged for 20+ years. Bob - I wish I had been a better friend, and that I had called you more often. We often talked about getting together to play 9 holes of golf but we never really set a date - probably more my fault than yours. God Bless you and rest in peace. You will be remembered and missed by many people.
