Not sure what to say?

Helen, I have such fond memories of Bob from when he was working at United Grocers and afterwards, including when we were able to visit your place at Hood Canal. Bob always found something to laugh at, and he always was there to help a friend. I remember with much affection the time that he and his dear friend Dave Otto built a little Chinese-style bridge in my backyard (that was back in 1990!). They did it just because I told them I had always wanted one. The tiny bridge was a...

Bob's Family--I had the fun privilege of working with Bob during his UG years. He loved deeply and proudly each member of his family. Bob taught all of us the daily privilege of Life, and we should find things to laugh about each day--in his honor. We need more Bob's. My special cyberhug goes to Helen, with whom he joyfully shared his life. Ken Jernstedt

Helen, it's been lovely getting to know you and Bob through Marshallaires. Bob and I shared the love of humor...I will always remember him for his ready smiles and sense of humor. Miss Judy:)

Helen, I have many memories of you and Bob. When my parents came to visit us in Portland you two would come and share some wonderful meals and great conversations with us. After my dad passed mom and I drove up to Hood Canal for a short but delightful visit. Bob taught my daughter Shelby how to paint flowers with a shadow cast, when she was done he put it in a frame, to this day it is on display in her home. In May of 2010 we were thrilled to see you both at Mom's 80th birthday party in...

My husband Bem and me

Helen, it was absolutely wonderful to get to know you and Bob in the Marshallaires Choir! Even tho' I'm not in the choir any longer, I still miss your smiling face and friendliness. We never failed to be able to strike up a conversation - although brief! I am really sorry for the passing of your life partner and know he will be greatly missed.

I remember Bob from my days in the Hood Canal region. He was a member of the PAA art group and his sense of humor was fun. A very special person that I enjoyed knowing. I'm sorry that I didn't know he lived in Vancouver of late, as I would have loved to renew that friendship with him and Helen. My condolences to Helen and Bob's family. Carol Wood, Vancouver
