Not sure what to say?

To the Hemphill family,
Please accept my sincerest condolences for your great loss. I only learned tonight of Bobby's passing, and I am stunned. It had been my great pleasure to have been into touch with him the last couple of years, not having seen him since high school. We were classmates at DHS and attended First Baptist Church of Decatur together.

The world has lost a great man, I have lost a long ago friend, but you have lost a loved one. May you find comfort in...

Remembering Bobby in high school as a gentleman even at a young age. He was one in that season that you remember being a man of integrity & of strong character. My heart goes out to you and your family. Brenda Jones Kent

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Bobby's family and friends in this loss of a special friend. He left a wonderful legacy and memories of all who knew him.
Beth Crouch Benefield (DHS Class of '61)

My Husband and I were lucky enough to have lunch with Bobby a few years ago here in Decatur, GA along with some other high school friends. We bought his book and he was such an interesting person to talk with. He will always be one of our treasured high school class members. Bobby enjoy your Heavenly Home!

Bobby will be missed he was a true American.

RIP Bob, you will be missed. Carol, my heart aches for you. You are one of the strongest women I know, so I know you will be ok. I will never forget your hospitality when the Brazil clan descended on you in Berlin and how loving and kind you have always been to my girls and my parents. I wish I could make it to the memorial. All my love, Pam, Chris, Hannah and Haley Lieberman

Bob we will miss you so much. We'll never forget the kindness and generosity you and Carol showed us when we stayed with you in Heidelberg, Germany. Those memories will be with us forever.
