James A. McAlister Funerals & Cremation Obituary

Bobby Hendricks passed away peacefully Sunday, August 7, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born on November 5, 1966, in Charleston, a son of Kathy Britzius and the late James J Hendricks and graduated from Bishop England High School and Anderson Junior College.
Bobby was a very adventurous person that never met a stranger, and always with a wonderful smile. From backpacking his way through Europe, working for World Airlines as a Stewart, bartending at "The Arcade" and working at Magnolia's and Anson Restaurants', to working for and/or partnering with several natural and organic food companies and eventually ended up being a Marketing Consultant for Organic and Natural Foods in New York City. He was a devoted and loving father to his two beautiful daughters.
Bobby is survived by his daughters, Quinn Hendricks and Chelsey Conyers; his mother, Kathy Britzius; his two brothers, Steve Hendricks and Jimmy Hendricks; his sister, Chrissy Denning and her husband, Carrol; his niece and nephew, Katie Denning and Nick Denning; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends.
The family will receive friends to celebrate Bobby's life, on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at 82 Queen Restaurant, 82 Queen St., Charleston, 29401. All other services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, we would like to request that memorials be made to your favorite charity.

Not sure what to say?

Sister Stella Maris

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear from Bobby's passing. My deepest condolences to you and family.

I will always remember his sweet smile. I enjoyed knowing him in high school. He was a truly great person and a gentleman. A friend to everyone. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the rest of our classmates during this most difficult time. May God's loving arms comfort all during this time. Rest in Peace Bobby, your fight is over. We all love you.

30 years ago Bobby was a smiling face in an unfamiliar place who became a friend. The years pass too quickly and he left us too soon. The world is a colder place without his light but our lives are richer for his being a part of them.

It saddened me to hear of Bobby's passing..he was a wonderful young man full of love and caring for all he encountered. My prayers for out to you, Kathy and all his family, he's at peace now, may you find that peace soon.

Kathy we are so sorry to hear about your son's passing. You are in our prayers.

My Prayers and Thought are with Bobby's family. I met him back in the early 90's and was a pleasure to have known him.

Sending my love and prayers to my friend Kathy and your children during this time of your great loss. Bobby was such a delight and made the world a happier and brighter place.
