Robert Edward Heon

Mr. Heon was my history/social studies teacher from 1960-1962 at Buckingham Junior High School in Springfield. He was a great person and an excellent teach who touch the lives of many classmates. His great smile and much interest in the welfare and best results for each and every student to achieve his/her best inspired great respect for him. To the Heon family- I will always remember Mr Heon for his kindness, and also his caring and positive nature.I really enjoyed playing basketball on his team as a youth,and remember how he always kept the team calm and focused,and how he always made practices fun. I had Mr. Heon as a teacher when I attended Kiley Junior High from 1966-1969. I remember he had an off-beat sense of humor. Thank you for your service to our country, too. RIP.
