Bob is, never will be was, one of the finest human beings I have ever met and certainly, one of the very few people that made me smile whenever I would see him. Fortunately for me, we were the same side of political discussions! I enjoyed every conversation we were involved in and especially treasured his columns in the Inlander. Bob has been a great friend since we moved next door. I've heard so many of his wonderful stories and adventures. He lived such a full life and was so kind to everyone he knew. He loved to share his knowledge and hopes for the future. He will be greatly missed.

I was Bob´s administrative assistant for almost 20 years. He was my favorite boss; the only person I´d be willing to come out of retirement to work for. He will be truly missed.
