Not sure what to say?

Bob, you touched many lives in a positive way...we will always remember your kindness and courage.

Dearest Louise, Our most sincere and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Bob. I met you Bob and his lovely caregivers at North Shore Hospital. My husband was his roommate at the time. I feel terrible in knowing that in just two weeks after we met, he passed away. Our hearts are with you at this most difficult time.

Dearest Louise The Marshall family from the Bahamas...joun with you and the family...in the passing of Bob.We are reminded of Longfellow's assertion...Lives of great men...all remind us...we must make our lives sublime...and in passing leave behind us...footprints in the sands of time. Be encouraged dear friend. Winston...Jan 29, 2023

Louise, From our overlapping years at C & W, I recall Bob's love for track & field (and recall attending you son's Bar Mitzvah in Roslyn). Sending my sympathy. I understand the loneliness. My husband David died in 2020 after three horrible years of ALS. I hope your children are nearby. My younger son Andrew (you were at his baby shower) stayed in RI after graduating from Brown. Older son Peter and spouse, after 5 years in Ann Arbor, now are in Brooklyn. Love and sympathy, Barbara...

Bob was a wonderful guy with a brilliant mind and a great sense of humor. I got to know him while covering track and field as a young writer for Sports Illustrated. He was a pleasure to be around and endlessly helpful to me in keeping my facts/stats (and how they were phrased) completely accurate. Condolences to his family. A loss to us all.

Louise, I am so sorry. Memories have come flooding back, and I wish we had stayed in touch. With much love, Margaret (Cambridge, Massachusetts)
