Not sure what to say?

I have been thinking about you all since I heard about Bob's passing from Katie. I am sure that his service today was beautiful, and I wish I could have been there. I have many memories of your happy family, and I know Bob was so proud of his children, especially when they followed in his footsteps of loving sports! I hope you are comforted by many happy memories. Please know that I send you love and hugs from upstate NY!

Grandpa and his great grandson Jackson

I’ll never forget when I was in elementary school I had my first grandparents day and grandpa came walking into the classroom and scooped me up and gave me the biggest hug. He held me for awhile for everyone to see and I felt on top of the world. He was the coolest grandpa ever I thought to myself! Grandpa always had a way of making me feel like this every time I was around him. He was encouraging and inspiring in many parts of my life whether he knew it or not. I have so many great...

We read about Bob when we got home last night. Bonnie and I both were sad to read about his dying. (Bonnie worked the office for 18 years, and remembers Bob well, as I do). It was great to have him come to Anne’s going away party last year, and we have a picture of him there.

As...

I had the great pleasure of meeting Bob though his dentist.
I will miss his hugs after his visits with us. May my prayers during this difficult time give way to comfort knowing how he touched so many with his smiles.

It's a very sad day indeed for all of us who knew Bob. Words are not enough. They manner in which he handled his cancer and the grace and strength he showed were humbling. May we all find the peace he seemed to create for himself.

I will always remember Bob as a great, patient and fair coach. Bob knew how to deal with all players and helped mold me into the caring, honest, hard working individual. I fondly remember my softball playing years with Stein & Goetz with a lot of smiles and great memories. I am thankful to Michele his USPS letter carrier for letting me know about his battle with cancer and being able to express my gratitude to him last month. Rest in peace and have fun playing your sports with the...
