Not sure what to say?

One of the most impressive and heuristic leaders I've ever known. He made you better by helping you find yourself through motivation and the right amount of tough love. I went on to play college football, which led to my career in news. And all throughout, I never forgot my humble upbringing as a poor refugee, Hialeah High and the people who influenced me when I was scared and knew nothing-- people like Coach Bob Hipke. Rick Sanchez...

Rest in peace coach, and thanks for the things that you taught me during my time in the locker room and on the field. I took it to the world with me and I am glad I did.. Thanks again coach.. See you when I get there...

Rest in Peace Coach Hipke

"His influence on myself and others that he coached was in-valuable in our lives"
I became a better man because of his influence.....Ralph Gutierrez class of '68

They always seemed to be having the most fun. As Pat Lyons said, he always was playing quirky music. For me, it was "Surfer Joe" (by the Surfaris). He...

you will be missed coach.Your energy and spirit and dedication to every person and every team you coached sincere and real. You put a new meaning to multi-tasking as a coach.Hope you are at peace

Though forty-three years have passed since my days of playing for Coach Hipke, the values that he instilled in me and the lessons that he taught me have never left. They are part of who I am and what I have accomplished in this life. Coach Hipke loved us for who we were and tried not only to teach us how to play the game of football but also how to behave as gentlemen on and off the field. He has and always will be remembered by all of us who had the priviledge to be part of his team and part...
