Robert W. Hoefler, age 88, of Olympia Fields, formerly of Tinley Park and Glenwood, died peacefully on April 10, 2015. U.S. Army Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Jean Marie Hoefler. Loving father of Eileen Hoefler, Kathleen (late William) Treptow, Robert (Alecia) Hoefler and Anne (Wyatt) Ritchie. Cherished grandfather of Taylor Hoefler, Erin, Jack, Emily and Meghan Treptow, Adam (Nia), Kyle and Alannah Hoefler, and Eleanor, Caroline and Walker Ritchie. Dear brother of Dolores (Jack) Hartig and the late Dorothy Eiler. Fond uncle and friend to many. Bob was a 1944 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and a graduate of Loyola University. He and his wife Jean enjoyed extensive world travel for work and pleasure. Former Trustee for the Village of Glenwood. Memorial Visitation is scheduled for Friday April 24 from 3-8 pm at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home, 18230 Dixie Highway in Homewood. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday April 25 at 12:30 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17950 S. Dixie Highway in Homewood.
