Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Hoehn's passing. He was among the very best teachers that I ever had at East Middle School in 1970-71. He taught what was then an experimental course called "Humanities" where he introduced really awkward and difficult topics to a class of 6th graders and stimulated wonderful discussion. I owe a lot to Mr. Hoehn because of this class as he really made us fearless in having focused, useful, and sometimes intense discussions. My interaction with him was...

Jim and I would like to offer our sincere condolences to Bob´s family. I taught 6 grade with Bob back in the 80s at East middle school! He was such a fun person and a truly great Social Studies teacher!. I´m sure he will be missed by everyone that knew him. We will miss seeing him at events in Auburn. He loved music and the Arts. RIP Bob.

I had Mr. Hoehn in summer school when I repeated sixth grade science. I remember his answer to a question the first day of school: "your not gonna fail summer school cause you're gonna work your tail off boy". Once in eighth grade there were a bunch of the teachers there at East involved in some sport. He was on the list as Hammer Hoehn. Though I may not remember him well, it's hard to see a part of my past gone.

So sorry to hear about Bob. He was a great guy. Loved working with him and subbing after retirement. Always smiling and happy. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Hoehn's passing. He was my sixth grade teacher, and then my colleague when I returned to teach in Auburn. He was truly wonderful in both capacities. My deepest sympathies are with his family and friends.

Bob was my colleague at East Middle for many years... he was a fine educator and a true gentleman. Condolences to his Family and the many who knew and valued him professionally and personally.

I knew Mr Hoen while I worked as a custodian with ASD. He was a very nice man!!! He will be missed by all that knew Him!!

I was one of Mr. Hoehn's first students. I had him at Herman Avenue school in 1968! Of all my teachers, I remember him most and am thankful for his effect on me. Mr. H was always positive and encouraging to me. I did not have a lot of that growing up, and his impact on me lives to this day. I have often wondered what happened to Mr. H. I have lived in Rochester NY for over 35 years and unfortunately never reached out to him to tell him. For this I am sorry. Condolences to the family, be proud...

The Hoehn Family, So very sorry to hear the passing of Bob. I had him for a sixth grade teacher. He was an outstanding teacher and made learning fun. I started skiing in Sixth grade because Bob talked me into trying something new. I have continued to ski all my life. I also became a teacher and taught with Bob in a long term position for Marlene Gugula. Your dad touched many lives in so many ways. So blessed to have him as a teacher and mentor. Sending prayers Sincerely, Michele Fleszar Glancy
