I just read this.. It is September 29th, 2024.. I met Dr. Bob in 1984. It was through his support and kindness, that I became Eastern Michigan Univerity's first Honors Student graduate (from the program) in 1985.. What a great man and kind soul he was... Bob was one of the first faculty that I met when I came to EMU and he left an indelible positive impression on me. I am so sorry to hear this. I took a screenwriting course from Bob in 1980, and when a friend later heard that I´d earned an A in the course, she said, "An A from Bob Holkeboer? You have walked with the gods." Bob loved it when I told that story 18 years later when I started working for him at the Graduate School. He offered me the best job I ever had, and he was a great boss as well as a kind and intelligent man. I will always hold him in high regard.
