Not sure what to say?

This reminder came on my phone today about Roberts passing. With the world in such a frightening, sad state it made me think I should leave an anniversary post. The creations he had created with his own hands, daily bring joy to my world. Those crafted pieces of wood bring light and warmth to every corner of my home. I own and treasure at least 27 of his carvings. My siblings also came to know, buy, and appreciate him. He leaves behind his talent as well as his kind nature. Going to his work...

Dear Aunt Ethel, Robert, Nancy, John, Joseph, Sarah and Pam;

I am very sorry to know that my Uncle Bob is with God in Heaven only because he is no longer here with us. It was always such a treat to visit or stay over at your beautiful home. I can still hear the laughter, smell the wonderful cooking and cherish the tours Uncle Bob would take me and my Dad on down to his Workshop.

You are in my thoughts and prayers,
Martha M. Kelley-Frontiero

To the Robert Holland Family,
How very sad we were to learn TODAY of Bob's passing. So very sad. Our heart goes out to Ethel and his entire family. My husband and I were truly blessed for knowing Bob. I first met him many many years ago at Eldred Wheeler in Hanover, Ma. when he did his Folk Art shows. Then we had the pleasure of visiting him and Ethel in their home. He was one remarkable man.
We will always CHERISH our collection of his beautiful and whimsical Folk Art carvings.

Dear Nancy, Sarah and family,
My sisters and I send our thoughts and prayers to you on the passing of your Dad. You are such amazing women that he must have been a wonderful father.
Love, Pam, Deb and Gaye (Stenard)

Dear Ethel and family,
I was saddened to see Bob's name listed in the "In Memoriam" section of the Reminder today. I enjoyed working with Bob on the Friends board years ago, and though our paths rarely crossed since then (surprising since we lived only a few streets apart), I often thought of him fondly. He was a kind, interesting man; I'm glad to have known him.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

My condolensces to the Holland Family, who I grew up with many years ago. I will miss talking with your father, as another good man is laid to rest.

My deepest sympathy Mark, especially your wife and family.

Holland family: So sorry for your loss. Robert sounds like quite a man who sacrificed for his country and enjoyed a full life with a loving family. It is quite a legacy you should be proud of, along with all those he touched along the way, students, friends and co-workers all. My condolences and prayers to the family as you heal and put Robert to rest. Jim Higgins and all of your friends at USRN.
