Robert Harold "Bobby" Holmes

We just learned of Coach Holmes'passing
yesterday from Trae. He was my coach and teacher at M.P. High in early 60's. He will be missed -a great mentor for all of us. Our condolences.

"Uncle Bobby" was a great American and sports encyclopedia. No doubt he could tell a tale, accurate in its details, and bring it to life. I cherish the memories of listening to him on James Street in Tallassee. God bless you, Nollene and Hal.

Nolene and Hal, you both know we wish we could have been with you, Thursday. Our deepest sympathy to all of you.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Nollene and Spud, we have just learned of your father's passing. What a kind man always with a smile and a wave to everyone. He was a wonderful neighbor. We are thinking of your family in prayer.

What a great loss, Coach Holmes was a great role model for anyone to pattern their life after. He was a great person, coach and friend. What a honor to be coached by him and to know him.

My sincerest condolences to Hal,Nollene and your entire families. Bobby was a wonderful neighbor and friend. I will miss sitting in the garage or driveway talking with him. He is sadly missed.
