Bob was a man of great integrity, love, faith, and a twinkle in his eye. I am fortunate to have been able to call him my friend. Forever I will remember his antidotes for grafting camellias. He loved to get the mail, and try to hide the cataloges from Betsy, by buring them in the old news papers. He will be missed by all who knew him, and I am saddened by his loss. I rejoice in his entry into the Eternal Kingdom.

Sorry to hear of his passing. Dr. Holmes was a wonderful source of counsel for me for the 16 years I was mayor and I would call him for his advice knowing he always had us all and our future in his concern. He took no credit but his influence was great.
