Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Holmes. He was a kind and grace filled man. When we first moved to Bellingham both Dr. and Mrs. Holmes reached out to us as we were strangers in this new town. My condolences to the family and may God's peace surround you all during this time.

To the Holmes Clan, I was sad to read of your dad's death. It is hard for me to separate Dr. Holmes (Bob) from Marge (Watson) as they always seemed to be united in their acts of kindness towards others. They " walked the talk" - being outstanding examples of servants of God. Both always made friends of their children feel welcome, even if you routed for the other football team. One never knew how to address "Dr. Holmes"- he seemed someone you wouldn't call "Bob" unless you were a close...

I have very fond memories of attending Central Lutheran Church with Dr. Holmes and his family. He was a wonderful father and Christian man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I am very saddened about such event. I've tried my best keeping Robert in shape and really hoped he would recover from his fall. I am very sorry :c

We feel very thankful to have known and spent time with Bob and remember how kind and caring he always was whether he was at church or working.

I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing want to add my sincere sympathy to all the family. I havn't been a very good neighbor but remember all his children when they were children. I know you're all grieving and hope you'll accept my prayers too. I won't be able to attend any services as I'm in Hawaii with Ross and family.

Sixty years ago I met Dr Holmes when I bought contact lenses from him. I did business with him until he retired. He was a kind and thoughtful man. I will miss seeing him around town.
