Thank-you for the voice lessons, and for your musical/personal integrity. Our days together at the Community Music Centre of Boston made an indelible impression on my approach to making music. Christopher Robertson

Why his great voice was denied an annual place on the MET roster is frankly beyond me....
Rest in peace Bob.

RIP My Home Boy(smiles). My mother and your mother knew each other un known to you and me. My mom spoke of you to her and vice versa. I remember good times in Boston with Sarah Caldwell and at NEC and BU. I will never forget you and the wonderful voice you were given from God and the Muses. Rest in peace my brother. Enjoy your rest!

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Bob's death. My condolences to his wife and family. He was a wonderful person, colleague, and musician, with a stunningly beautiful voice. We shared many an opera and concert hall stage, and I will miss him dearly.

Such gift becomes our connection to the Divine.
Though Mr. Honeysucker was not directly my teacher, I received wonderful feedback and encouragement from him as a Voice Jury at the Boston Conservatory, and...

We were so privileged to have known such a special person as Robert. As high school classmates, we knew Robert to be an extremely gifted individual. Not only did God gift him with a phenomenal voice, He blessed him with a beautiful personality. Even though we are in Tennessee, we were kept abreast of most of his performances because we wanted to know what our friend was doing!
We know that Robert will join God's heavenly choir, but his legacy will live on in our hearts.
