Dear Janet, Jim and Jeff,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time. What a wonderful, beautiful man, who had a sweet smile for you when we met. You are all so fortunate to have had him as your Dad, for his family came first in his life.
God Bless all of you and may Bob rest in Peace.

Many musical memories from my 4 years in choir at Joliet Central. Mr. Howell was an extraordinary musician as well as teacher, and was so very willing and anxious to share his knowledge and gift with his students. I am thankful as well as greatful that he shared those gifts with me. Rest in peace, Mr. Howell.
JTC Class of 1982

Mr. Howell was our choir director at Joliet Central. My senior year (1972) we recorded Jesus Christ Super Star. He was outstanding in his field and a true teacher, lover of his students and gave me some wonderful memories. May he rest in peace.

Some of my fondest memories of high school were from choir, not from the actual singing but the interaction between Mr. Howell and his students. My condolences to the family.
