Robert "Bob" Howieson

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Bob Howieson. I was the secretary at the REI office in Burton Mi. He was a great man and a great boss. So sorry for your loss.

I remember Bob when I moved to GRapids from 1978 to 1987 as a Sales Rep for Carrier we called on Bob and his company at Refrigeration Engineering a lot. Outstanding man of integrity and I always admired that. Later when I moved back to Livonia, MI area Bob and his partner had a branch in Burton that we at Carrier Great Lakes leased from him and we spoke a lot and liked his stories. He loved Sarasota. He was a blessing and I consider it an honor to know him.

I was searching for another obituary and was saddened to see Bob's. My parents were good friends of Bob and Eleanor at Covenant Village. Bob was the consummate gentleman, always ready to lend a helping hand. My deepest condolences to Eleanor and the family.
