I had the distinct pleasure of serving with Bob on USS John F. Kennedy. Having recently learned that he resided at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, I had the pleasure of visiting with him on Dec 10 and planned to make regular visits from Richmond. Whereas his speech difficulty made conversation difficult, I was amazed that I could understand his every word when he joined in singing Christmas carols. Bob was a giant among men and a true leader. An officer and a gentleman your Dad was one of the finest persons I ever had the honor of working for at AIMD, NAS Norfolk. May he rest in peace with the love of family, and the sympathy and regard of his fellow shipmates from his long Navy career. My wife and I extend our condolences to the Hunter family in this time of sorrow and grief.

Bob and I served together on USS John F. Kennedy and I was pleased to visit him Tuesday of last week at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
