SUMMERFIELD — Our beloved son, brother, husband and father, Robert James "Jim" Hutton, Jr. died on Monday, May 13, 2013.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 18th at 11 a.m. at Friendly Avenue Baptist Church at 4800 W. Friendly Ave. Greensboro, NC 27410.

Jim was born on March 17, 1961 to Robert and Katherine Hutton; he was 52 years old. Jim graduated from Page High School (1979) and was an Arborist Foreman at Davey Tree. Jim was an arborist, beekeeper, hunter, woodworker and outdoorsman. He had a great sense of humor that he shared with all of his family and friends. He always found a way to make others laugh-especially a total stranger having a tough day. He loved to enjoy life outside-whether it was fishing with his daughter, hiking with his wife or cooking on the grill for his family. Jim loved to cook too! He could turn leftovers into a gourmet meal without even using a recipe. Jim was the ultimate Boy Scout. He was always prepared and helped others even after a long day at work-he never hesitated to pull over and help someone.

Jim is survived by his parents, Robert and Katherine Hutton of Greensboro; his wife, Dana and his daughter, Olivia of Summerfield; sister Anne Plaisance of Oceanside, CA and her daughter, Erin Umberger of Charlottesville, VA; sister Kathy Hutton and her husband, Conrad Mull of Elbert, CO; Brother, David and his wife, Carrie and their children, Henry and Sarah of New London, NC.

Family and friends of Jim will receive Visitors on Friday, May 17th, from 5-7 p.m. at Forbis and Dick, Guilford Chapel at 5926 W. Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, North Carolina 27410.

Memorial contributions may be sent to his daughter, Olivia Hutton at any NC State Employee's Credit Union.

Online condolences nay be offered at www.forbisanddick.com.

Such a tragic loss, my heart goes out to Dana and Olivia and the rest of Jim's family. He was a truly great person and David and I feel lucky to have known him.

My thought and prayers are with you and your family. Your husband did a lot of tree work for me and I enjoyed having him at my home. I am the mother of Andy Stone of Davey Tree. Sincerely Kaye Stone

Mrs.Hutton, we are so very sorry to hear of your family's great loss. The Odom Family

As a kid, Jimmy was my favorite cousin. We spent lots of time together every summer having fun swimming and playing hide-and-go-seek and chasing each other through the neighborhood. As an adult, I didn't see him very often, but when I did, he was always good for a laugh and a story. Mostly about an adventure with his dog. I will miss you cousin and will keep fond memories of you.
