Not sure what to say?

Bob and I were transfers to Hamilton in the 1970-1971 academic year. This immediately created a bond between us as we were 2 of only 4 transfers and beeen told were were the first to be admitted in a very long time. And we were two of the very few students who did not join a fraternity, preferring to be know as "Indies" and to socialize with that in mind. He was the best friend I had a Hamilton, even though he regularly and thoroughly beat me soundly when we played hand ball. I missed him...

Seven years later and it still feels like yesterday. Thank you everyone for sharing your memories.

I would like to have a celebration of Bob's life. May 3, 2008. One year from the day of his death. Bob wanted a "happy" party to celebrate all the wonderful times.

Please save the date and join me to honor his memory.

Robert Thomas Hutton, my younger brother, always had a way of taking care of me. When we were children, he allowed his friends to be my friends (although I did not share mine with him). After high school, he would tell me when he found a good place for me to live, usually some upscale neighborhood, although he knew that my inclination was to live more modestly. When my husband and I moved 500 miles to a new home, Bob took time off from work to drive the rental truck and help us pack and...

Well Ann Marie, words are so inadequate, but I want to say something because I know that the thoughts and comments of others can be a source of comfort and can validate our own feelings.I wish I had known Bob like so many of these other folks did.I wish I'd seen him outside of Medical Oncology just once.Bob was hard to get to know but he was courageous and stoic and he fought this awful disease harder than I've ever seen anyone fight.I was honestly surprised to hear that he had died. I know...

Ann Marie
We are all still thinking of you and remembering Bob and how strong he was. We miss him around here. A very dignified man. He fought the strongest battle. Take care of yourself and Bob will live on in our hearts. God Bless.

Ann Marie~ My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope that you received the card in the mail...Bob was such a strong person for all that he went through and you were by his side just as strong throughout the whole journey. Please take care and know that we are all thinking of you here in Medical Oncology!

Robert Hutton was a very quiet, observant, and thoughtful man. He loved to be at home, playing golf, coaching,or entertaining friends and family at the camp. In the 17 years I knew him he always highlighted the positive in everyone and everything. Ann Marie you are not alone. Keep your heart open.

Ann Marie,

We want to wish you our deepest condolences at this time of need. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We pray that you be granted strength to help you through this time.
