Not sure what to say?

I got to know Bob during WWII Commemorations in Alaska. What a wonderful caring man. I wish I had known him all my life.

I am so grateful for the brief time I was able to spend with Bob. He was, and is, an excellent example and was a blessing to be around.

Bob was with us through the founding years of our marriage and life in Anchorage. His influence as we raised our children was Godly and inspiring. Words fail to express our thankfulness for his influence in our lives.

May the God of all comfort strengthen the entire family during this time of sorrow. Those who die God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. (Psalms 116:15). My sincerest sympathy.

Appreciated Bob's messages, letters, phone calls, his caring, his kindness ... and his hand-crafted eggs for my chicken collection. Glad for many memories.

Such fond memories of Uncle Bob. He gave me and all of my siblings our first Bible. We didn't know he wasn't a "real" uncle until years later. Always so kind - always had time for the little people. By now his " nieces and nephews" are far too many to count. So glad that he could live and end his life in a way that brought him peace and meaning.

We have counted it a great privilege to be among those who have had a part in Bob's last years here in Fairbanks. We have felt his wonderful love and influence to continue in the things that are lasting and eternal. We will miss him beyond telling, but have precious memories beyond telling also. Thank you all for your support, love, and sharing your own feelings. It's wonderful to see your names on these messages and to know what Bob has meant to you. Dick and Lynda Eickman
