Not sure what to say?

I grew up on the same street in Long Beach where the Iveyes lived. One morning Bob gave me a ride down to Long Beach Poly in his red Volvo sports car. During the ride, he gave me a lesson in gentlemanly behavior that was sorely needed. Thanks, Bob, for the ride and the lesson. God bless your soul. God bless your family.

To Barbara and the Ivey family.

Bob was one of the warmest and engaging persons I have ever worked with. He was always sharp as a tack. I enjoyed his stories and I have one of his beautiful bowls that he made me some years ago that I use every day. When he gave it to me he took me out to his workshop and showed me all of the tools he worked with to create those wonderful pieces.

I can not attend Sunday but wish I could have as I will be out of town.

Bob was a fine example of a gentleman. He was kind, had a sense of humor and he and Barbara radiated love. We at Christ Church will miss him greatly. His woodworking skills benefitted many through his donation of his beautiful wood bowls to our outreach auction that supported so many programs to help feed, cloth and spiritually nourish our community and those abroad. Well done good and faithful servant.

The Iveys were among the first to make me feel welcome at Christ Church. Bob was kind enough to put a new handle on a pairing knife that had been my mother's favorite. When my woodworking brother-in-law visited from TX, Bob was happy to show him his workshop and spend time with him even though it was his birthday. Each Sunday that I usher at CCP I think of Bob because he made the beautiful offering plates that we still use.

My deep sympathy. I enjoyed knowing Bob at Christ Church Parish. His wonderful wooden bowls were always a sought after item at the auctions.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My thoughts and prayers to his family. Evie Proctor Christ Church Lake Oswego
