Jake was the reason we joined the Y when we moved here from Canada 3 years ago. His warm welcome, and smile were the reasons we stayed at the Y. It was always a pleasure to see his smiling face at 5:30 a.m. Jake - you will be missed.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

The saying "God must have needed another angel" is so true in this case. Knowing Jake had a warm towel for me at 5:00 in the morning at the YMCA was second only to his warm smile and always kind words of wisdom. He'd write them on the white board for all of us to see. I am a better person because of Jake. Thank you Karen and your entire family for sharing Jake with us. He will be missed very much. God Bless you guys!
