Robert Lee Ford Johnson, 51, of West Texas City, Texas, a U.S. Army veteran, and son of Robert Lewis Ford of Texas City, and the late Myrtle Johnson Green, departed this life in Houston on Thursday, June 29, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 5, 2000, 1 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 7-8 p.m., at Mainland Funeral Home, 2711 Texas Avenue, LaMarque, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 6, 11 a.m., at Greater Bell Zion Baptist Church, 5917 Carver, Texas City, officiated by the Rev. Z. Phillips, Pastor, and the Rev. Danny R. Phillips. Burial will follow at Mainland Memorial Cemetery, Hitchcock, Texas.
