Not sure what to say?

Serving as a judicial extern for Judge Jones was a highlight of my time at law school. I learned from him not only professionally but personally as well - as he exemplified so many values I hold dear, including love for his family - which was evident from the minute you walked into his Chambers. Pictures abounded of Pearl, his children, and grandchildren, and he was so proud to talk about each and every one of them. That sense of care that Judge Jones so clearly had for his family extended to...

Single Memorial Tree

I clerked for Justice Jones while in law school. He just ran into me one day, remembered who I was (my father had been a judge too) and offered me a job for the summer. There were some who thought I didn't deserve it, and I suppose they were right. But I was a single parent and was thrilled, if a little scared. I needn't have been - Justice Jones was a wonderful boss. He gave me responsibility and training that was beyond anything I could have imagined. It helped me immeasurably, and...

Bob and Pearl were lifelong, dear friends of our parents Bud and Sunny Smith and our extended family. Bobby and Dad, along with Uncle Marsh, had so many Grant High School stories, plus many more after everyone returned from WWII to start their careers and families. Memories of a long life, from weddings, to West Slope backyard barbecues and other family gatherings; to kids sports, support and personal references; to Lake Oswego house design for personal Wills; to Quinary Club dances; high...

Getting to know Bob was a special kind of honor truly the sweetest man with the biggest love for his family.

Judge Jones was an outstanding jurist, teacher, colleague, and person. He will be missed, and remembered fondly.

Judge Jones and his lovely wife "Pearlie" were close friends with my parents when I was growing up. I remember seeing them at countless parties and dinners- always friendly and having a great time. As a law student I had the pleasure of taking his Evidence class- one of the most practical classes in my entire 4 years of night school at L&C. Later as an attorney, I had the pleasure of appearing before him- albeit the first time in his courtroom he called us into chambers and told an...

It was an honor to have Judge Jones as a friend. We will miss him. Our condolences to the family.

In all my educational experiences, the evidence class in Law School taught by Judge Jones was the best! He was the best teacher I ever had. It was a real privilege to be taught by such a knowledgeable teacher with real trial experience. My condolences to the family.
