Not sure what to say?

I didn't have the opportunity to know my Uncle Bob well, but am happy to carry some very special memories of him...Like the lambchop puppet he gave me as a little girl, the time he and my father(his brother, Bill) came to visit me (in around 1968) and I took my father aside and whispered, "Is Uncle Bob a hippie?", as well as visiting him and his warm and gracious Cindy, shortly after my daughter was born. I remember the basement in Merrick, the walls completely shelved in his books, and...

Dear Mrs. Judd,
wE JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THOUGH pROFESSOR jUDD IS NO LONGER WITH US, HE WIL REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS AND MEMORIES ALWAYS. HE WAS AN EXCELLENT TEACHER WHO ALWAYS BROUGHT THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE TO LIFE WITH HIS ENTHUSIASM AND WIT.WE ADORED HIM TRULY AND ARE SO GLAD HE WAS A PART OF OUR LIVES, EVEN IF ONLY ACADEMICALLY.

Dear Mrs. Judd,

I was saddened to hear of Professor Judd's passing. I was fortunate enough to have been in two of his English classes. Because I was an "adult" student, I worried about "doing the right thing". Professor Judd was always there to give a word of advice. I appreciated his honesty and feed back. His sense of humor and insight were inspirational to me. I used to love his Poetry class! He would tell a great story about something of importance in his life (in relation to...

Cindy,
I was so sorry to hear about your husband. I just wanted to let you know my prayers and thoughts are with you.

I didn't know Bob very well, but he always acknowledged me with a friendly "hello" whenever our paths crossed. He will be missed at C-GCC.

Dear Cindy and Bob's family and Friends,
The lights have not been as bright since Bob is no longer in this world. He was a true and certain professor and friend in the best meanings of both words.
It was my privilege to work with Bob at the college, and I looked forward to our talks about literature and life, but my favorite days were the days I was able to go in and observe his classes. He probably never knew this, but I always took notes that I then used in my own classes....

Dear Judd Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Even though I hadn’t seen Bob or any of you for that matter for too many years, I have fond memories. I remember the stories Bob used to tell about the family’s experiences during the car trip to Florida. And when our family would visit for a few hours Bob always had the chess game ready. I think he was the first person that tried to teach me how to play chess. Even though they are few I have good memories of Bob...

It was a pleasure to work with Bob. Whenever Bob got stuck on a computer problem he would come to my office and ask for help. I missed him very much this past year.

Dear Cindy,
You have my deepest sympathy. Bob was the only person I have met who appreciated the work of Fred Exley. This was indicative of his sense of humor and perspectives on rural upstate New York life. He will be missed.
